Applying to UA is easy. You'll need to submit the application for admission and a $40 application fee at apply.ua.edu. The rest depends on whether you are a freshman or a transfer student.
- A copy of your official test scores sent directly from ACT or SAT
- Your official high school transcript. You'll need to contact your high school guidance counselor to have this sent to our office.
These materials as well as the application for admission must be submitted by February 1 for priority admissions consideration for the fall semester.
- Official transcripts from all colleges you have attended, whether you withdrew from any class there or not.
- If you have less than 24 hours of transfer credit (academic courses only, no technical, remedial, or vocational courses), then we also need your ACT or SAT test scores and your official high school transcript.
These materials as well as the application for admission must be submitted by March 1 for priority admissions consideration for the summer/fall semester or December 1 for priority admissions consideration for the spring semester.
After You Apply
The above instructions cover your general application to UA. You'll need to fill out separate applications for scholarships and financial aid. Please visit the Scholarships and Financial Aid page of this website for more information on those processes.
And of course if you are admitted, there will be some other steps to take care of before you enroll. You can see a list of these items on the Freshman Enrollment Checklist page of the Undergraduate Admissions website. We also have enrollment checklists for transfer students and international students.
